08/23/2017Reetha VanAuken The Sword of the Spirit
Wednesday evening Ephesians 6:17
Bible teacher Reetha continues the teaching on the full armor of God this week with the emphasis on the Sword of the Spirit. This offensive spiritual weapon fully compliments all our 'defensive and protective spiritual armor'. We are now complete in putting on the whole armor of God and ready to do battle against the devil and spiritual forces of evil in this world. Reetha tells us that the spoken (Rhema) Word of God is the written Word used verbally to a specific situation. Listen in and learn how we can "... correctly handle the Word of truth...' (2 Tim.2:15). Scriptures: Ps. 91:11; 119; Heb. 4:12; 11:3; Matt. 4:1-11; Is. 55:10,11; 2 Peter 1:20,21; 2 Tim 3:16,17

09/24/2017Pastor Ken Lichter Hooray for Hardships
Sunday Numbers 11:1-10;18,19
Pastor Ken makes several points and uses various scripture references to teach us the importance of focusing mainly on the current and future as we struggle with hardships along the way. God was not pleased with the attitude of the Israelites after He had resuced them as slaves in Eqypt. In essence, we need to stop complaining about our past and current situation, eg. what we don't have, and thank God for what we do have. There will always be hardships in life.God allows testings and trials in our lives so that He can bring us to see for ourselves what is in our hearts toward God. Let's trust Him completely in every area and through every hardship to bring Him glory. Related scriptures: Matt. 25:23;James 1:2-4; Ex. 20:18; Duet. 8:25; Romans 8:28

09/27/2017Reetha VanAuken The Importance of Prayer in Spiritual Warfare
Wednesday evening Ephesians 6:18b
Bible teacher expounds on the very significant importance of our prayers, especially as it relates to spiritual warfare. Ps. 31 15, David takes action in his prayers, asking God for deliverance and help in his time of need for Israel and for himself as their leader. God, our Father desires to be partners with us in His victories by us praying and interceeding for others. Luke 18:1 We need to always be aware of His presence and have conversations with Him often! Ez. 28:11Be careful of self-pride. Some excuses of why we don't pray more often... Laziness; We're way too busy; we are often distracted by a myriad of 'things', Our mind wanders, and sometimes we're deceived on really needing to pray! How is your prayer life? Does it need any improvement?

11/19/2017Pastor Ken Lichter Are We Selfish???
Sunday 2 Timothy 3:1-4
Today, we have a 'ME first' mentality. Has the United States become the modern day Babylon? True fulfilment will never come through self-gratification. True fulfilment only comes from faithful service to God and humble service to people. Ask yourself...' what could my life look like if I really served others?' Who should we serve? see Mark 10:13-15. God calls us to die to ourselves. Other related Scripture Mark 8:34-38; 9:33,34; 10:41-45; Isaiah 47:5-10;
